Rollers with handles are a very popular tool among children. Children have been working with them for two years. Older children work with them very much in the group and often with all the blocks at a time. The aid develops primarily visual perception, but as with every sensory aid, the child uses and develops all senses. Numerous mathematical concepts are incorporated into the aid and when working with it, the child is also preparing for writing - work from left to right, pinch grip, wrist release,

And of course, the child adopts new concepts through the guide (teacher / parent): thick - thin, wide - narrow, tall - low, large - small.

Block 1: Rollers change in one dimension. The diameter decreases by 5 cm evenly by ½ cm, the height remains the same. The child learns the concepts when working with them: thick - thin, wide - narrow.

How to work with:

Finally, we include block 4 - the child must compare the height of the roller (clearly visible) with the depth of the holes (which is not clearly visible). This requires a certain experience the child gets on blocks 1-3. When we roll the roller, we place the carpet in a scatter. Work with more blocks at the same time, first two, then three and finally four. When working with four blocks, enter the tasks: "Find two identical rollers . " "Find the lowest rollers."
