Froebel Complete Set

The cognitive set is based on the methodology proposed and taught by Friedrich Fröbel at the end of the 19th century. He was a prominent German educator who focused mainly on preschool education. In 1840, he opened the first Kindergarten, or Children's Garden, which was a metaphor for teachers as gardeners and children as vegetables. The first children's center in Bohemia using Froebel Dary was founded in Spálená Street in Prague in 1862. These Gifts were later inspiration for Maria Montessori during the creation of Montessori procedures and aids.

It is intended for children from 3 years of age but is also a great aid for children at the first level of elementary schools. The lengths of the sticks are derived from the lengths of the first six Dares and their multiples. The child begins to understand the edge as a part of the solid bodies.
